TUI fly Signs the Airports Sustainability Declaration

Amsterdam Schiphol, March 14, 2017:  TUI fly is the first airline which, together with Schiphol and other airports all over the world, has agreed to join forces in the years ahead in order to become more sustainable. This is specified in the ‘Airports Sustainability Declaration’ which was signed by TUI on March 14, 2017 in Amsterdam.

Schiphol and TUI fly already collaborate closely on the reuse of waste materials. By signing the Airports Sustainability Declaration, Schiphol and TUI wish to intensify their collaboration in the sustainability arena still further.
The Airports Sustainability Declaration, a 2016 initiative of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, ties in with current developments such as the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, COP21 and the ICAO convention on reducing international aviation emissions. Collaboration between airports and airlines is essential for increasing the sustainability of the aviation sector. This is an open invitation for other parties to come on board too.
Alongside TUI fly and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Centennial Airport, Chicago Department of Aviation, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Eindhoven Airport, JFKIAT, Lithuanian Airports, London Gatwick Airport, London Heathrow Airport, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Aéroports de Montréal, Flughafen München, Aeroporti di Roma and San Francisco International Airport signed already the declaration of intent at the ‘Airports Going Green’ conference in 2016.
