‘Neste Oil’ Stations Become ‘Neste’

“Oil” no longer illustrates the company

Keilaranta, Finland, March 29, 2016: The official name of Neste Oil was changed to Neste Corporation in June 2015. The word “oil” no longer illustrated the company, in which products based on renewable raw materials have become an increasingly important part of the business. Now, the name of the Neste Oil station chain will be changed to Neste in Finland, the Baltic countries and Russia.

The process to change the names of stations will begin in April and will be completed in October. At the end of 2015, Neste had 790 stations in Finland and 258 stations in north-western Russia in the St. Petersburg region, and in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Neste claims to be the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel with an annual production capacity of more than 2 million tons. Neste is the world’s largest company providing renewable fuel from waste and residues.
